Domaine Michel Mallard, Ladoix 1er Cru "Les Grechons", 2016 SO051226 Trousselle The palate is scentedThe Mallard family has farmed in Ladoix Serrigny for five generations, and the domaine has been on a real upswinghelped by the fact that Michel Mallard also runs winemaking at the celebrated Domaine d'Eugenie in Vosne Romanee. 'Les Grechons' is a Premier Cru in Ladoix, planted to Chardonnay on the eastern flank of the hill of Corton, with shallow, gravelly soil and vines 50 to 60 years old (the name itself nods to gravel). It's vinified partly in tank
